Redruth Cavy Club is affiliated to the National Cavy Club, and it is a condition of entry, that each exhibitor agrees for the purpose of the show to be bound by the Show Regulations.
ENTERING A SHOW Every cavy exhibit must at the time of the show be the bona fide property of the exhibitor in whose name it is entered. Exhibitors may show their stock under a stud name providing the name and the appropriate registration fee has been received and accepted by the British Cavy Council. No changes to entries shall be permitted after the advertised closing dated. Late entries may be refused. Exhibitors making entries to a show shall be liable to pay all the entry fees even if any or all their exhibits are absent for whatever the reason. If an exhibitor is unable to attend a show which they have entered, they must inform the show secretary as soon as possible. If entries are accepted by Email, the secretary should acknowledge receipt of the entries before the show. It is not usual to acknowledge entries made by post. Whatever the method of entry it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to satisfy themselves that their entry has been received. The closing dates for entries must be made clear in the show advertisement and the Schedule. Prize money - The basis on which prize money shall be paid shall be at the sole discretion of the show committee and must be clearly stated on the show Schedule. At the time of entry it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to inform the show secretary of the BREED, AGE, and SEX of the Cavies entered. An exhibit may only be shown in one age group at each show. Young or Under 5 months are for cavies that are at least 3 months old and not more than 5 months of age on the day of the show. No exhibit may be entered until it has attained the age of 3 months. Intermediate or 5/8 months classes are for cavies over 5 months and less than 8 months of age on the day of the show. Adult classes are for cavies of 8 months and over.
